How to Send and Report on E-Sign Documents Follow
The Law Ruler system includes a ready-to-use integration with the #1 E-Sign provider, HelloSign. Your firm can start sending out text message/email e-sign retainers right away. Law Ruler's embedded version of HelloSign has significant time savings where it only takes seconds to fill in client information from the database and send it to your recipients via text message and email.
How to Send an E-Sign Document
To get started, first navigate to the intake and/or case record you wish to send an e-sign to. Next, navigate to the "E Sign" tab at the top of the record.
Under this tab, you will be able to select any of the available e-Sign templates to send for signing. Under the “E-Sign Documents” section, you will see a list of options for "Send", "Sign Now" and "View".
Send - This option will allow you to send your e-sign to your client via email and text. To get started click the "Send" option. Next, you will need to confirm and/or modify the information for each signer and recipient of the signed contract. Once that is completed, click "Send E-Sign" to finish sending your e-sign.
Sign Now - This option allows you to pull up the e-sign agreement on your device to immediately sign. This option is generally recommended for instances where your signer is in front of you, such as in person consultations, and they need to sign their document on a handheld device, such as an iPad.
View - This option allows you to view the e-sign template you will be sending. This option will not show any data that will be merged upon sending of the e-sign.
How to Check Status of Sent E-Sign Document
Once an e-Sign has been sent, you can keep track of the signature request’s status under the “E-Sign Status” section. Under the “Envelope Status” column you will be able to see once the recipient has viewed the e-Sign document and when they’ve submitted a signature. All signed contracts are automatically pulled back into Law Ruler and can be found under the “Documents” tab in the Lead/Case records.

How to Report on E-Sign Documents
Law Ruler offers a couple of different reports that allow you to track the status of your e-sign documents.
The first report that can be used to track the status of your e-sign documents is Law Ruler's Dashboard. To access the Dashboard, navigate to Dashboard using the blue meu on the left.
Using the Pending E-Signs tile, you can keep track of all sent e-signs that have not been signed yet. You can also track all signed e-signs that have been received using the New Signups tile.

Another report that can be used to track the status of any e-signs, not just pending and completed e-signs, is Law Ruler's E-Sign report. To access this report navigate to Reports -> E-Sign Report.
