Additional Reports and Reporting in Law Ruler Follow
Law Ruler comes loaded with reports that will allow you to carefully review your intake and lead-to-client conversion at your firm. Any of the Law Ruler Reports can be run once, and scheduled to run automatically and deliver to a specified list of users/email recipients daily/weekly/monthly. The ability to automate reporting is a big time saver and it is recommended for all Law Ruler clients.
When Reports are run, they are available to be exported into Excel format immediately so you can sort the data or use it for any other purposes.
Automating Reports on a Schedule
After running a report for the first time, it will automatically popup a box below the report criteria, but before the report output, asking you to “Schedule Report” for automatic re-runs and deliveries. This is optional, but recommended.
Leads Status Report
Law Ruler contains a “Leads Status Report” that will allow you to select “All” or 1 or More Statuses to create custom reports to analyze different points in the lead-to-client conversion timeline at your firm.
If you do not want to see the Status column on your report, then uncheck the “Include Status” box.
If you want to see the complete history, “everything that has ever happened” on every lead, then click the “Detailed” radio button, or leave it on “Summary” which will save space on the report and will only show the newest notes/tasks completed.
TIP: Here are some popular business use cases for the Law Ruler Lead Status Reports:
- Track Productivity and New Lead Conversion: You could run a report to only display leads with the status of “New Lead” and “Contact Attempted” to see what actions your team is taking to convert these leads, make the appropriate number of contact attempts, etc
- Track Retainers and Which are Signed/Not Signed: Another use case example would be to select “Sent Retainer Contract” to only see reporting on the leads that you sent a contract to, and are still on that status. This would mean that you have not signed them as a client yet, or someone forgot to update the status to “Signed Contract” or “Rejected” etc. This is also an important area to analyze.
- Referral Firm Tracking: You could also use this report to only look at leads that you “Sent to Referral Firm” or a similar status that you may be using so you can see what inventory of leads you have at different referral firms, or what leads are inbound and were referred to your firm, etc. The Status Report is very powerful and has a lot of potential use cases.
Tracking of Marketing Expenses and ROI for Marketing Sources
These reports give you the ability to input how much you are spending monthly in Marketing/Advertising with each lead/referral source, and your return on investment will be automatically calculated for you.
This is available in the Reports --> Marketing Expenses and Marketing Sources ROI menu.
P.S. If you don't have management level access, then you will not be able to see all of these features, so please make sure you let your firm's management know about these new features.
