Activate Messaging Phone Number to Start Texting with Clients Follow
Your legal CRM system has a built-in feature to allow your firm to start messaging 📲 clients through texting! To get started, you will need to activate a phone number to enable text messaging.
At this time, this requires contacting your legal CRM representative to get your firm's number set up. Click on the link for Support to get this started.
The legal CRM team is working hard to create a DIY process for buying your firm's texting number, but that feature will be released in the future 🔮
Note: in many instances, this will be done for you as part of the default onboarding process so that no action may be needed from your firm.
What you might need to provide:
- Your firm's location - your firm's registered business address.
- Your firm's preferred area code - number availability within a specific area code is based on availability with the phone provider network. Please provide an alternate if requested.
- Your firm's texting # will be configured to route all inbound calls to the main phone number for your firm, or it can be set to forward to itself. Note: additional per-minute charges will apply.
- If you would like call recording turned on for your texting number, please check with the regulations in your local area to determine if this is permitted in your area.
