About the Law Ruler App
Law Ruler's mobile app will let you and your team stay efficient, profitable, and productive from mobile devices with Wi-Fi or internet access. In addition to client information, your team will be able to access client documents from the palm of your hand 24/7 from anywhere! Log in to the app with your Law Ruler credentials.

The Law Ruler app brings mobile features to users of Apple iOS and Google Android.
NOTE: For security reasons, the Law Ruler app is only available for cloud-based clients of Law Ruler and not for legacy on-premise self-hosted clients. Also, if you use the same login on more than one Law Ruler system, then you will not be able to log in to the Law Ruler app at this time. We recommend that you change your login for each system and use a unique email address for each Law Ruler system.
Viewing Your Firm's Dashboard
The “Firm Dashboard” is a high-level overview Dashboard that is available inside of the Law Ruler app and contains critical KPIs that are necessary to measure and grow your firm’s productivity from the beginning to the end of each lead/intake/case.
Law Ruler “Sonar” is a set of immersive dashboards to help manage and grow your firm with data-backed decisions. When you first log in to the Law Ruler app, you will see the Dashboard as long as you are a user with reports or admin access. Please ask your firm administrator or IT department if you need assistance.
To access the Dashboard, click on the "Dashboard" button in the bottom right corner of the app.

NOTE: In the Law Ruler app, the "Explore" feature to drill down is not currently supported due to the limited screen space available on phones and tablets, however, the high-level dashboard is available.
Using the Inbox Screen
At the center of every successful firm is the Law Ruler Inbox screen. In the Inbox, you will find all leads and cases in your portal. The dropdown located in the upper-left corner of this section allows you to change your view to see all records, records by a specific Dashboard Category, or deleted records.
You may access the Inbox by clicking on the "Inbox" button in the bottom left corner of the app.
At the top of your Inbox, there are three options, All, Leads, and Cases. By default, "All" is selected to show you both leads and cases. Select "Leads" or "Cases" to view the clients that you would like.
NOTE: If you use Law Ruler for legal CRM only and use other, non-Law Ruler third-party case management software, then you will not see any Cases in your Inbox.
Filtering the Inbox is a cinch. Click on the filter icon in the top right corner of your inbox to use the app filtering in the Inbox. Filter by the "Idle time" (clients with new activity occurring in them) or by the date that each record was created, the "Lead Created Date"
Accessing the Notes and Tasks Screens
The Law Ruler app comes equipped with Notes and Task screens. Notes are an important part of collaborating with your co-workers and documenting happenings inside of leads and cases.
Click on the "Notes" button at the bottom of the app to access the Notes screen.
Productivity starts with the tasks in Law Ruler. Whether you are managing Key Dates or Todos, you can do it all inside of the app.
Click on the "Tasks" button at the bottom of the app to access the Tasks screen.
NOTE: The main screens for Notes and Tasks will show you all notes and tasks across every client in the system. If you would like to see the notes or tasks for a specific client, then you will need to drill down to a specific lead/case.
Creating a New Lead/Intake in the App
Creating a new lead/intake in Law Ruler has never been easier. The Law Ruler app includes a feature to create a new lead which may be accessed by clicking on the blue "+" icon on the bottom right corner of the Inbox screen.
Enter the required information in the Create Lead screen and then press Save to continue into the new lead.
Viewing and Editing Client Information Inside of Leads and Cases
The Law Ruler app lets you stay up to date on client happenings on the go. From the Inbox screen, click on any lead or case to jump right into the client record. From this view, you will have a familiar, but scaled-down view of each lead, intake, and case inside of the app. View the progress of each client record. Read and create notes, tasks, and events. Do an intake with the intake or case form.
To create a new Note or Task, click the blue "+" button in the bottom right corner while viewing a lead or case.
NOTE: You may access additional features by clicking on the selector icon (the two vertical dots) in the top right corner from inside of any lead or case.
You may also access the intake and case forms inside of each lead/case. Click on the "Form" button at the top of the screen inside of any lead or case. To navigate a form, click on the form subheader name below the large "Intake Form" or "Case Form" header as shown below.
For example, you would click "General Questions" and it would show you a form tab selector dropdown to select between different form tabs if there were any additional tabs available in this practice area.
In addition, there is a blue button that guides you to the next tab at the bottom of each tab, as shown below.
NOTE: Conditional logic, also known as decision-tree logic, is available in the Law Ruler app.

User Profile and Logout
Your user profile is available in the app by clicking on your initials or user profile avatar in the top left corner at any time. You may log out of the app at any time by clicking the logout button which is located in the User Profile screen.
