How to Configure API Posts to Legal CRM Using Unbounce Forms Follow
Step-by-Step Tutorial for Integrating Your Unbounce Forms with Legal CRM
What is Needed To Get Started?
To get started, you will need to have the following:
- Unbounce Forms
- Instructions On How to Use A Webhook In Unbounce
- Legal CRM API Guide
- Endpoint URL for Legal CRM Portal
- API Key
How to Obtain Endpoint URL and API Key
Both the endpoint URL and API key for your Legal CRM portal can be found directly from inside of your portal.
Inside of Legal CRM, navigate to Setup -> 3rd Party Integrations
⚠️You must be administrative user in the portal to access this page
The information for the endpoint URL and API key can be found in the Vendor Email Template on the right-hand side of the screen.
How to Configure the Integration
- Review the instructions from Unbounce regarding how to use a webhook.
- Next, configure your posting string. This posting string should include all required fields for the Legal CRM API as well as the additional fields you wish to pass per our API guide.
Sample Unbounce Posting URL (INCOMPLETE): https://sample.legalcrm.com//api-legalcrmapp.aspx?FirstName=&LastName-&Address1=&City=&State=&Zip=&CellPhone=&Email1=&Summary=&LeadProvider=legalcrm.com&Hear=Unbounce&CaseType=Unassigned&Key=Y8d7cMkSLGhONnZyjzVAVbhGV9e3X8
⚠️ Please note, this string is incomplete as we still need to pass values to each of our posting parameters. - Now that you have your Legal CRM fields in the posting URL configured you will need to add in the corresponding Unbounce form fields as the value for each of your parameters. Your Unbounce field should come after the "=" in your string, i.e. FirstName=(UnbounceField)
Sample Unbounce Posting URL (COMPLETE): https://sample.lawruler.com/Lawruler-Parsing.aspx?FirstName=(first name)&LastName=(last name)Address1=(address)&City=(city)&State=(state) &Zip=(zip)&CellPhone=(cell_phone)&Email1=(email)&Summary=(content_goes_here)&LeadProvider=LawRuler.com&Hear=Unbounce&CaseType=Unassigned &Key=Y8d7cMkSLGhONnZyjzVAVbhGV9e3X8
⚠️ Please note, all form field labels from Unbounce must have parentheses around them inside the posting string as shown above. - Now you are ready to add the webhook to Unbounce. In the Page Overview screen, click "Webhook: POST to URL".
- Enter the posting URL you configured.
- Wait a moment while Unbounce adds your Webhook.
- Success! Your webhook has been added. Click Close when you are done.
Testing
It is recommend to test your integration after configuration, to ensure your leads are being created correctly. To test, simply submit a form submission using your Unbounce form and ensure your submission is properly created in your Legal CRM portal.
